Apple never ceases to amaze me. I was just getting over the fact that you can surf the web via Wi-Fi on the new iPod touch, but the new MacBook Air ultra compact notebook computer totally pushes wireless personal electronics over the edge.

Nice Specs, Small Package
Core 2 Duo and 2GB of ram at a starting price tag of $1799. MacBook Air weighs in at only 3 lbs. and measures well under one inch thick at 0.75″. It ships standard with OS X 10.5 Leopard.
Air Technology
MacBook Air comes fully equipped with ‘Air’ technology like 802.11n wireless networking and Bluetooth 2.1. There is no optical drive built in because you can wirelessly access everything you need.
Why watch a DVD when you can wirelessly rent movies directly from the iTunes store? Don’t write your data to stacks of disks, wirelesssly back it up using Time Capsule. You can even wirelessly access the optical drive of another Mac or Windows computer to install software. If you prefer an optical drive, they offer a USB powered external SuperDrive.
Awesome Display
Its stunning 13.3 inch LED back-lit widescreen display consumes less power than ordinary compact notebook computers.
Full Size Keyboard
The full size keyboard also features the same automatic backlighting from the MacBook Pro, which will automatically light up the keys when a decrease in ambient light is detected.
Innovative Track Pad
Pinch, swipe and rotate, all gestures which were borrowed from the Apple iPhone, are features on the all-new, larger sized trackpad. Also enjoy the already awesome MacBook features like two-finger right-click and two-finger scrolling.
MacBook Air is shipping soon, and pre-ordering from Apple is available. When power, freedom of portability matters, there is no keeping me away from the MacBook Air.
